On February 10, 2018, the historic Alfred Street Baptist Church (ASBC) facilitated their 16th Annual Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) College Festival at the Gaylord Resort and Convention Center in Oxon Hill, MD. The ASBC HBCU College Festival is the largest HBCU college festival in the country and responsible for connecting more than 25,000 students and their families with academic institutions since 2003. This year, ASBC partnered with Facebook as their principle sponsor and hosted 10,000 attendees from across the country.
Led by the direction of church member, Virginia Raye, members from each of the “Divine 9” organizations came together to perform for the students and kick-off the start of the 2018 ASBC HBCU College Festival.
